2010 NICE Conference
"Outstanding Youth Scholar" Contest Information

Nomination Process:
Each state may nominate one male and one female candidate from the state delegation to participate in the NICE Outstanding Youth Scholar contest.

Eligibility Criteria:
All contestants must be a first-time, full-time Youth Scholar.  Each state councils may use any procedure they wish to select their candidates.  Contestants should be selected on the basis of his/her:

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated leadership
• Understanding of cooperatives
• Presentation, personality
• Past achievements

The Outstanding Youth Scholars will:
Attend the 2011 NICE Conference

Entry Requirements:
Completed nomination and application forms must be submitted at the conference by 11:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010.

Process:
Candidates from each state will compete in preliminary judging on Monday and Tuesday and final judging on Tuesday.  The Outstanding Youth Scholars (one male and one female) will be announced during the banquet on Tuesday evening.
